Canyoning on the Cetina

THE WHOLE ROUTE THROUGH THE CANYON IS PREPARED AND ARRANGED FOR THE VISITORS WITHOUT PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES IN CANYONING.

Experience the true adventure in the canyon of the river Cetina, which was “in the past” called the river Horse, because of its intensive raising and untamedness. Enjoy in the hidden beauty of its canyon that is somewhere till 120 m deep. Look closely the waterfall “Gubavica” 40 meters high and have a swim in it without fear, because you are guided by the people born by the canyon, who know all the charm and dangers that the canyon hides. Enjoy the amazing relief of the water formed stones and interesting play of the water and the stone that happens every day. The trip lasts 3-5 hours. Take with you short T-shirt and pants, closed sport shoes for walking through the water and widely opened heart for the handy events. Your camera or video camera is yours own responsibility, and we insure waterproof bags in case you didn’t take them.

Transfer to Zadvarje, where you can get a short lesson and the equipment for the canyon. Accompanied by an experienced member of the Mountainous rescue service, we go downstream through numerous little waterfalls, lakes, rapids, tunnels to the waterfall Gubavica and further downstream. If you are interested we can organize you going down the waterfall “Velika Gubavica” by rope.

It is possible to organize the lunch at the picnic place Radmanove mlinice after the arrival to the finish line, as well as the supper in the local restaurant with homemade wine and specialities of the ancient principality of Poljica.

All the participants must be able to swim!

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT: reserve clothes and bathing costume. WATERPROOF SNEAKERS ARE COMPULSORY – sandals are not enough.
